About the role
The Occupational Therapist provides high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete process of occupational therapeutic care for an assigned group of patients, in coordination with the physician and the patient care team. Responsibilities include completing patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, focusing on goal achievement, patient engagement, and positive patient experience. The role supports patients throughout home health and the continuum of care.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate each patient’s functional abilities and needs, then develop individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
- Deliver skilled, evidence-based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life through purposeful, compassionate care.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and ensure thorough, timely documentation reflecting quality outcomes.
- Educate patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement throughout recovery and beyond.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care, safe environments, and exceptional patient experiences.
- Lead by example—provide guidance to therapy assistants or students and uphold HCA Healthcare’s mission, values, and commitment to excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
- 1 year of experience in Occupational Therapy
- 1 year of experience in direct inpatient rehab
- Currently licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Nevada
- BLS certification
