About the Role

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for organizing and implementing medically prescribed Occupational Therapy treatment programs. This includes evaluating patients for appropriate exercises and activities, constructing splints and adaptive devices, and documenting patient progress related to rehabilitation. The role aims to help patients reach their maximum performance and integrate into society while learning to live within their capabilities. All duties are carried out with empathy and compassion toward patients, their families, and coworkers.

Requirements

  • BS/MS/OTD in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
  • Current license from the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, including the ability to assess data reflective of a patient’s status and interpret information needed to meet age-specific needs.
  • Experience preferred but not required.
