Occupational Therapist / PRN

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital - Canton is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. Occupational Therapists (OTs) are integral in delivering compassionate, high-quality care throughout the recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education, and adaptive equipment.
• Serve as a supervisor for certified occupational therapy assistants (OTAs) and OT and COTA students.
• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens and monitor patients' responses to treatment.
• Attend continuing education seminars and in-services to stay updated on best practices.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.

Qualifications

• Experience in acute care settings preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Skills

• Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Proficiency in using medical software and equipment.

Pay

$52.00 per hour
