Job Summary

Occupational Therapists play a vital role in helping patients regain independence, confidence, and quality of life after illness or injury. You will deliver compassionate, evidence-based therapy tailored to each patient’s unique goals and capabilities, working closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited school with bachelors, masters, or doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Maintains current registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
  • Maintains active Occupational Therapy Certification in the State of Colorado
  • Maintains current certification in BLS for HealthCare Providers (in accordance with American Heart Association guidelines)
  • Successful completion of student clinical rotation or work experience in at least one of the following settings: acute care hospital, long-term acute care facility, skilled nursing facility, and/or acute rehabilitation setting

What You Will Do

  • Evaluate each patient’s functional abilities and needs, then develop individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team
  • Deliver skilled, evidence-based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life through purposeful, compassionate care
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and ensure thorough, timely documentation that reflects quality outcomes
  • Educate patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement throughout recovery and beyond
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care, safe environments, and exceptional patient experiences
  • Lead by example—provide guidance to therapy assistants or students and uphold HCA Healthcare’s mission, values, and commitment to excellence
