Occupational Therapist PRN

HCA Florida Citrus Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist PRN to join our dedicated team. This position offers a supportive environment where your passion for creating positive patient interactions is valued.

Responsibilities

• Treat disabilities, injuries and disease using therapeutic techniques according to prescriptions from a physician.
• Perform testing and evaluation procedures on patients.
• Record and document patient observation, treatment and changes in condition.
• Monitor, analyze and review clinical data.
• Reevaluate and modify treatment plans and goals based upon patient performance.
• Communicate clearly and provide explanation of care in a way that can be easily understood by patients and their families.
• Ensure patient's family is informed of patient status.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy; Masters preferred.
• Experience in appropriate healthcare setting preferred.
• Current Florida Occupational Therapist license.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) through AHA (American Heart Association).
• Current FIM (Functional Independence Measure) required (within 90 days of hire).
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills.
• Able to read/comprehend written instructions; able to follow verbal instructions; PC skills.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date(OT).
• Occupational TherapistBachelors Degree.
