Occupational Therapist
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with Physician orders
- Assess patient needs, plan, evaluate, and modify care to meet goals of Occupational Therapy Interventions
- Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient
- Instruct patient/family/caregivers on patient's total Occupational Therapy program
- Advise, consult, and instruct members of the multi-disciplinary team in specific occupational therapy modalities
- Observe and report patient progress and/or changes in patient status to Physician and appropriate multi-disciplinary team members
- Other duties as assigned
- Job Requirements:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy school
- Good organizational skills
- Good written skills
- Valid New York State Occupational Therapy License
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide preventive services allowing individuals to stay in their homes and out of nursing home care
- Identify and meet patients’ goals and needs
- Offer cost-effective treatments that help improve clients’ motion and mobility
- Reduce the need for medications and provide alternatives to surgery
- Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques
- Create fitness- and wellness-oriented programs tailored to patients’ specific needs
- Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based care, and proven interventions
- Motivate patients during treatment to help them function optimally
- Promote clients’ healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination
- Consult and practice with other health professionals
- Evaluate effects and monitor and communicate progress
- Document patient care services
- Job Requirements:
- Valid NY State PT License
- Master’s degree from an accredited physical therapy school
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Good organization skills
- Good written skills
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Absorbs responsibility for the screening, evaluation, and treatment of facility patients/residents needing Speech-Language Pathology services
- Implements treatment plan through direct treatment, education of treatment staff and supervision of Speech-Language Pathology staff
- Maintains accurate billing information in accordance with facility procedures on a daily basis
- When appropriate, acts as a clinical instructor to SLP students who are engaged in their clinical residencies
- Job Requirements:
- Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology
- Current and valid NY state license
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Computer literate
