Speech Language Pathologist
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Absorbs responsibility for the screening, evaluation, and treatment of facility patients/residents needing Speech-Language Pathology services.
- Implements treatment plan through direct treatment, education of treatment staff and supervision of Speech-Language Pathology staff.
- Maintains accurate billing information in accordance with facility procedures on a daily basis.
- May be asked to act as a clinical instructor to SLP students who are engaged in their clinical residencies.
- Job Requirements:
- Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
- Current and valid NY state license.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Computer literate.
Physical Therapist
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides preventive services allowing individuals to stay in their homes and out of nursing home care.
- Identifies and meets patients’ goals and needs.
- Offers cost-effective treatments that help improve clients’ motion and mobility.
- Reduces the need for medications and provides alternatives to surgery.
- Develops care plans using a variety of treatment techniques.
- Creates fitness- and wellness-oriented programs tailored to patients’ specific needs.
- Provides quality, personalized and evidence-based care, and proven interventions.
- Motivates patients during treatment to help them function optimally.
- Promotes clients’ healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
- Consults and practices with other health professionals.
- Evaluates effects and monitors and communicates progress.
- Documents patient care services.
- Job Requirements:
- Valid NY State PT License.
- Master’s degree from an accredited physical therapy school.
- CPR Certification (Preferred).
- Good organization skills.
- Good written skills.
Occupational Therapist
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with Physician orders.
- Assessing patient needs, planning for, evaluating, and modifying care to meet goals of Occupational Therapy Interventions.
- Collaborating with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient.
- Instructing patient/family/caregivers on patient's total Occupational Therapy program.
- Advising, consulting, and instructing members of the multi-disciplinary team in specific occupational therapy modalities.
- Observing and reporting patient progress and/or changes in patient status to Physician and appropriate multi-disciplinary team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Job Requirements:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy school.
- Good organizational skills.
- Good written skills.
- Valid New York State Occupational Therapy License.
