About the role

Occupational Therapist responsible for planning and delivering occupational therapy to patients with temporary or permanent disabilities, ensuring treatment aligns with professional standards and organizational values.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Implement and monitor therapy interventions based on assessments.
• Provide ongoing evaluation through observation and documentation.
• Identify patient-specific learning needs and offer appropriate education.
• Demonstrate initiative for professional growth and skill enhancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed by the Tennessee Board of Occupational Therapy.

Skills

• Strong ability to interpret and prepare complex written materials and communicate effectively with team members and external professionals.
• Ability to work independently, organize multiple tasks, and exercise sound judgment.
• Physical capability to perform activities such as standing, reaching, and handling patient interactions, including exposure to body fluids and hazardous materials.

Additional Information

• No supervisory responsibilities, but may guide therapy assistants.
• Requires physical stamina, good coordination, and quick reaction to emergencies.
