Occupational Therapist (OTR) — Skilled Nursing

About the Role

TheraDynamics offers occupational therapy roles in skilled nursing settings, focusing on helping patients recover from strokes, hip fractures, cardiac events, and progressive neurological conditions. You will design functional interventions addressing ADLs, cognitive retraining, upper extremity rehabilitation, and safe discharge planning. Your work directly impacts whether a patient returns home or remains in a facility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional independence.
• Collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP, and social work teams for coordinated patient care.
• Address self-care skills, cognitive and perceptual deficits, home safety, adaptive equipment needs, and caregiver training.

Requirements

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current or eligible for New York State OT license.
• NBCOT certification (or eligible).
• Passion for helping patients regain independence.
• Strong clinical reasoning and creative problem-solving skills.

All rates are based on position, years of applicable experience, and employment type. Rate ranges include levels for per diems with no benefits and Independent Contractors.
