About the role

The Remote Occupational Therapist will provide occupational therapy services to patients via telehealth, working with a diverse caseload to assess needs, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions that promote improved functional abilities and independence.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning to determine their needs and goals.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment findings.
  • Provide remote occupational therapy services, including exercises, activities, and interventions to help patients achieve their goals and improve functional abilities.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on techniques and strategies to enhance independence and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and other documentation.
  • Adhere to relevant ethical and legal standards, including patient privacy and confidentiality (e.g., HIPAA compliance).
  • Utilize telehealth platforms and tools effectively to conduct remote therapy sessions.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in occupational therapy and engage in ongoing professional development.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active CA State Occupational Therapy License or ability to apply.
  • Experience in a clinic or school setting or successful clinical interview.
  • Technical proficiency to conduct teletherapy through our all-inclusive platform.
  • Comfortable working with pediatrics (18 months+).
  • Feeding and/or Hand Therapy experience preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
