Role Overview

Responsible for planning and administering occupational therapy treatment plans aimed at alleviating pain, restoring function, preventing disabilities, and promoting overall health. Acts as a professional role model and clinical resource for staff and students.

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with relevant licensing authority
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days
• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Ability to perform patient transfers safely and demonstrate proper body mechanics
• Empathetic, respectful, and engaging in patient and team interactions
• Strong assessment, treatment planning, and patient education skills
• Experience in creating and modifying custom splints/orthotics
• Effective communication and documentation skills
• Ability to supervise support personnel and ensure quality care
• Participation in team meetings, reporting, and clinical instruction when assigned

Key Responsibilities

• Design and modify individualized care plans based on patient response and evidence
• Assess patients, perform examinations, and determine appropriate therapy interventions
• Educate patients, families, and healthcare providers using effective teaching methods
• Monitor and supervise support staff to ensure ethical and legal standards are met
• Communicate with the medical team and document care according to standards
• Participate actively in team, program, and department activities
