Occupational Therapist / OT

About the role

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our flexible, PRN team in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate values clinical autonomy, flexibility, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans
• Regularly reassess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences
• Make discharge evaluations, provide recommendations for home and community safety, and refer and educate
• Communicate patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family members
• Collaborate with other disciplines to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current, unrestricted license as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice
• CPR Certification
• One year’s work experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Demonstrated knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological diagnoses preferred
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
• Fine motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to walk/stand for extended periods
