Occupational Therapist (OT)

Responsibilities

• Screens, examines, and evaluates residents, including history, systems review, and appropriate tests and measures.
• Determines impairments, identifies precautions, and develops treatment goals and methods in collaboration with residents and caregivers.
• Implements the treatment plan and completes related documentation.
• Serves as supervisor for assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support staff, adhering to state licensure requirements and professional standards.
• Attends and contributes to resident care, staff conferences, and other related meetings.
• Consults with and makes referrals to other disciplines and agencies to address comprehensive resident needs.
• Ensures exceptional customer service by providing high-quality care in a caring and compassionate environment.
• Responsible for clinical programming and maintaining efficiency standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program with a valid professional license by discipline for the state.
• A minimum of one year of related experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related medical facility.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• New graduates will be considered.
• Must demonstrate patience, courtesy, excellent customer service skills, dependability, attention to detail, and flexibility.
• Successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical/drug screen.
