Occupational Therapist (OT)

About the role

The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitation care focused on occupational therapy for patients based on physician referrals, adhering to all legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, assess, and modify patient treatment plans to achieve functional goals
• Supervise and evaluate care provided by OT Assistants, Rehab Aides, and students
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and utilize therapy software effectively
• Ensure excellent customer service and foster positive patient interactions
• Participate in community health initiatives as appropriate
• Assist with patient evacuation and ensure safety protocols
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team and maintain professional relationships
• Follow company policies, confidentiality, and compliance procedures
• Demonstrate good body mechanics and physical stamina during work activities

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT)
• Registered/licensed in the applicable state; licensure maintained in good standing
• Certification in CPR (current or obtained during orientation)
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication
• Strong decision-making skills, professionalism, and adherence to ethical standards
• Ability to communicate effectively and work productively within a team
• Prior experience preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply
