About the role
The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitation care focused on occupational therapy for patients based on physician referrals, adhering to all legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop, assess, and modify patient treatment plans to achieve functional goals
- Supervise and evaluate care provided by OT Assistants, Rehab Aides, and students
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and utilize therapy software effectively
- Ensure excellent customer service and foster positive patient interactions
- Participate in community health initiatives as appropriate
- Assist with patient evacuation and ensure safety protocols
- Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team and maintain professional relationships
- Follow company policies, confidentiality, and compliance procedures
- Demonstrate good body mechanics and physical stamina during work activities
Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT)
- Registered/licensed in the applicable state; licensure maintained in good standing
- Certification in CPR (current or obtained during orientation)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication
- Strong decision-making skills, professionalism, and adherence to ethical standards
- Ability to communicate effectively and work productively within a team
- Prior experience preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply
