Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans and therapy goals
- Assist patients in improving mobility, coordination, and daily living skills
- Recommend adaptive equipment and home modifications to improve safety and independence
- Assess fall risks and educate patients and caregivers on home safety strategies
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, PTs, SLPs, HHAs, and caregivers
- Document patient progress and communicate updates to the care team and physician
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the State of Maine
- Minimum of one year of occupational therapy experience preferred, ideally in home healthcare
- Current CPR Certification required
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
- Caregiver-focused approach to care
- Reliable transportation required
