Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services to patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery
  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans and therapy goals
  • Assist patients in improving mobility, coordination, and daily living skills
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and home modifications to improve safety and independence
  • Assess fall risks and educate patients and caregivers on home safety strategies
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, PTs, SLPs, HHAs, and caregivers
  • Document patient progress and communicate updates to the care team and physician

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
  • Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the State of Maine
  • Minimum of one year of occupational therapy experience preferred, ideally in home healthcare
  • Current CPR Certification required
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
  • Caregiver-focused approach to care
  • Reliable transportation required
