Role Overview The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitation care in occupational therapy to patients based on physician referrals, adhering to all legal, regulatory, and organizational standards. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and modify patient-specific treatment plans focused on activities of daily living.Establish, assess, and adjust measurable and functional goals for patients.Supervise and evaluate care provided by OTAs, rehab aides, and students.Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including charting and therapy software.Collaborate with patients, families, and support teams to plan and deliver effective care.Participate in community health initiatives as appropriate.Ensure safety, patient rights, and confidentiality are upheld.Follow department policies, legal regulations, and standards of practice.Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and excellent customer service. Qualifications & Skills NBCOT certification required; renewal optional.Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT).Current licensure in applicable state and active license in good standing.CPR certification, obtained upon hire or during orientation, must be maintained.Preferred one year of experience; new graduates are welcome to apply.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication.Excellent communication, reasoning, and judgment skills.Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.Physical ability to sit, stand, lift, and move intermittently during work.
