Role Overview: The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct occupational therapy rehabilitation care to patients based on physician referrals, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and standards. Responsibilities Develop, assess, and modify patient treatment plans focused on activities of daily living.Oversee and evaluate care provided by OT Assistants, Rehab Aides, and students.Document patient progress accurately and timely using therapy software.Establish measurable, functional goals tailored to each patient.Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team and maintain professional relationships.Assist in patient evacuation and ensure safety protocols are followed.Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude.Participate in community health projects as appropriate. Qualifications & Skills NBCOT certification required upon hire; renewal is optional.Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy (BSOT or MSOT).Active licensure in the relevant state; must maintain licensure in good standing.Preferred one year of experience; new graduates are welcome.CPR certification upon hire, with ongoing validity.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.Strong communication, good body mechanics, and decision-making skills.Knowledge of post-acute care regulations, patient rights, safety, and sanitation.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism and confidentiality. Key Duties: Implement treatment plans, evaluate and adjust patient goals, chart accurately, and demonstrate dependability and professionalism in all aspects of patient care and teamwork.
