Responsibilities

• Screens, evaluates, and treats patients
• Completes a comprehensive evaluation using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures
• Reviews patient records for current diagnoses, past medical history, precautions, and contraindications
• Establishes measurable goals and develops a treatment plan to move the patient toward their maximum level of independence and/or function
• Supervises Occupational Therapist Assistants and rehab techs in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with the state practice act
• Interprets and communicates evaluation findings and treatment program to patients, family, and other team members

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy
• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of current practice
• Good communication skills and ability to relate professionally and positively to patients, patients’ family members, and staff
• Capable of performing the responsibilities of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations
