Occupational Therapist-Home Health - Lincoln County

About the Role

Provides in-home occupational therapy services to patients with neuromuscular, skeletal, and perceptual disorders under the direction of a physician. This is a community-based home health position serving Lincoln County and surrounding communities.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat patients with neuromuscular, skeletal, and perceptual disorders.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Work independently and handle emergencies without assistance.
  • Schedule patient visits in a timely and efficient manner, checking in with the office daily to update the schedule.
  • Drive in various conditions, follow written or verbal instructions, and read maps.
  • Maintain regular contact with agency staff, physicians, hospital staff, and the public.
  • Handle confidential information appropriately.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
  • Current state license in Occupational Therapy.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in acute, rehab, outpatient, home health, or long-term care settings.
  • CPR certification.
  • Good assessment and treatment planning skills.
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally lift over 50 pounds.
  • Good physical health and ability to work independently.
  • Adaptability to change, initiative, and a willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in acute care or home care.

Schedule

  • Full-time (40 hours per week).
  • Day shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
  • No weekends.
  • Flexible scheduling.

Pay

  • Gas mileage reimbursement at $0.70 per mile (subject to change per Federal Reimbursement Rate).
  • Annual merit raise based on performance.
