About the role

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist for our outpatient orthopedic center. Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands (required). We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support and are excited to mentor occupational therapists aspiring to be a CHT.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboration: Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
  • High Standard of Care: Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
  • Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.
  • Relationship-Building: Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)-accredited school of occupational therapy.
  • CPR certification.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic.
  • Preferred: Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred.
