Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist

About the role

NovaCare Rehabilitation in Westminster, Maryland, is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist / Hand Therapist to join their dynamic outpatient team. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician passionate about upper-extremity care and eager to grow within a supportive, collaborative environment. While a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) designation is preferred, it is not required. Candidates must have prior outpatient orthopedic experience. We are especially seeking a therapist skilled in custom splinting.

Responsibilities

• Treat a diverse caseload of upper extremity conditions, including tendon injuries, sprains and strains, post-operative fractures, and other orthopedic and neurological conditions.
• Work closely with local and regional hand therapy clinicians and leaders to ensure you have the tools, mentorship, and support needed to succeed.
• Consider a hand therapist open for steady part-time hours as well.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school for occupational therapy.
• State Occupational Therapist license (or license eligible).
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Prior outpatient orthopedic experience.
• Skilled in custom splinting.

• Ability to build relationships with referral sources and maintain positive interactions with centers and patients.
• Experience in developing and implementing innovative opportunities.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to provide personalized treatment programs and complete patient care responsibilities and documentation requirements.

Pay

$85,000 - $95,000 with up to $10,000 sign-on bonus and/or ongoing student loan assistance.

Schedule

Full-time (32+ hours/week).
