Organizes and conducts prescribed skilled occupational therapy programs through the application of purposeful, goal-directed activity in the treatment of persons whose function is impaired by physical illness or injury, emotional disorder, congenital or developmental disability or the aging process to achieve optimum functioning, prevent disability, and maintain health.
Responsibilities
- Delivers occupational therapy programs to patients with impairments due to illness, injury, emotional disorders, disabilities, or aging.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AOTA accredited Occupational Therapist program.
- Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as an Occupational Therapist or in compliance with the state practice act.
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
- For Home Care positions: Valid Driver's License with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.
Qualifications
- One year of experience working in a hospital, long-term care, home, school system, or outpatient Occupational Therapy department preferred.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $37.09 to $50.17 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
