About the role

The Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy services to individuals and their families in a team relationship with other health care providers in a setting that is designated by the department.

Responsibilities

• Performs all functions associated with the evaluation of patients for all age groups within the department's responsibility.
• Completes all documentation required within the regarded timeline according to department.
• Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care that is specific to those needs (i.e., age, culture, language, hearing and/or visually impaired, etc.). This process includes communicating with the patient, parent and/or primary caregiver(s) at their level (developmental/age, educational, literacy, etc.).
• Adheres to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies.
• Lifts a minimum of 50 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 100 lbs. and stands a minimum of 6 hours a day.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy school.
• Occupational Therapist License.
• BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.

Pay

Minimum rate of $46.64 hourly. The posted rate of pay is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting. The base compensation determined at the time of the offer may be different than the posted rate based on labor market data, experience, education, certifications, skills, geographic location, internal equity, budget, and grant funding. Some jobs may be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate.
