Occupational Therapist - Full Time

Careers With Purpose joins a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing over 100 years of housing and services to seniors in a Christian environment. Located in Luverne, MN, this position focuses on post-acute, long-term care, and home health care environments.
Responsibilities
- Affirm and modify therapeutic plans based on client/patient/resident evaluations.
- Design and implement occupational therapy programs tailored to clients/patients/residents' needs.
- Educate clients/patients/residents on enhancing their functional outcomes and understanding their conditions.
- Apply current research findings in daily treatment practices.
- Treat individuals across various ages and diagnoses, utilizing appropriate age-related treatments and evaluations.
- Document client/patient/resident information accurately and follow departmental guidelines.
- Adhere to clinical practice guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Provide ongoing education and training to peers in areas of expertise.
- Interact with individuals from various departments, including providers, case managers, family members, third-party payers, and public organizations.
- May supervise assistants, aides, and students in providing patient/resident care, treatment, or other services.
Requirements
- Appropriate education level for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Licensed in the state(s) of practice as an Occupational Therapist.
- Must be certified through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) when working at a Sanford Health Facility.
- Valid driver's license when applicable.
- Maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or obtainable within 60 days of employment.
- New graduates in the process of board testing may be considered with a temporary license in the states of South Dakota and Iowa.

Pay
Salary range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
