Occupational Therapist - Full-Time

About the Role

Provides patient-centered occupational therapy care by developing and implementing medically prescribed programs to maximize patient potential. Ensures compliance with state practice laws, regulations, and professional standards. Assists in departmental growth through special projects and program coordination.

Responsibilities

• Implement safe and effective treatment modalities, respecting patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, establish measurable goals, and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Prioritize interventions to optimize outcomes, adapting approaches based on patient response.
• Serve as a resource and mentor for new staff, contribute to program development, and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Educate patients and families, ensuring clear communication during care and discharge.
• Maintain thorough documentation and stay current with technological and therapeutic advances.
• Participate in departmental projects and assist in staff training and program evaluation.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current license or eligibility in the practice state; temporary license acceptable up to 90 days.
• Current BLS certification; national board certification preferred.
• Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations.
