Occupational Therapist - Full Time

About the role

Our Occupational Therapists provide personalized 1:1 rehabilitative therapy to patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury in their homes and communities. They conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and adjust care based on evolving patient needs, working independently within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Practice independently in community settings
• Assess patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans
• Deliver therapy in home or care facilities
• Evaluate and modify plans based on patient progress

Requirements

• Minimum of one-year occupational therapy experience or successful completion of probation as a VNS Health Rehab Intern
• Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in New York State
• Valid driver’s license required outside Manhattan

Skills

• Strong assessment and care plan development skills
• Ability to adapt to patient needs and work independently
