About the role

Part-time (0.6 FTE) occupational therapy position. Day shift (First), 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. On-site at Olmsted Medical Center.

Pay

Starting pay range: $39.41 – $59.11 per hour, based on experience. Offers for external candidates are generally made between the minimum and midpoint of the range.

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for license with the state of Minnesota
• Graduate of an accredited college or university with a certificate in Occupational Therapy
• Certification as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)
• Ability to assist in the development of programs, procedures, policies, and protocols
• Ability to work with all age ranges (pediatric, adolescent, adult)
• BLS certification
• Minimum of three years' experience working with upper extremity and hand injuries and diagnoses
• Splint fabrication proficiency for custom orthotics

Responsibilities

• Performs occupational therapy assessments and re-assessments for pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients
• Provides occupational therapy services in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Fabricates hand splints and positioning devices in a timely fashion
• Conducts pre-operative education and post-operative rehabilitation for surgical hand diagnoses
• Provides training in adaptive equipment, compensatory techniques, and task modification to increase safe
