About the role
Evaluates and treats patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, or psychosocial deficits in an occupational therapy setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient’s ability to perform independent living skills and develop personalized care plans.
- Implement treatment modalities, document progress, and adjust plans as needed.
- Educate patients and families about deficits, adaptive equipment, and support options.
- Oversee care provided by designated individuals, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
- Maintain safety and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy or related field, with licensure in the practice state.
- No prior experience required.
- Resuscitation certification (BLS Healthcare Provider) within 90 days.
Skills
- Constant standing, frequent lifting (0–25 lbs), walking, reaching, and data entry.
- Occasional bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and patient mobility assistance.
- Excellent communication, vision, and hearing skills for assessment and safety.
