Occupational Therapist

Job Description

Provides occupational therapy to patients in varying states of health and illness.

Occupational therapy services are provided for the purpose of promoting health and wellness and to those who have or are at risk for developing an illness, injury, disease, disorder, condition, impairment, disability, activity limitation, or participation restriction.

The occupational therapist functions as an essential member of therapy and multidisciplinary teams providing direct care to patients.

Educates and prepares patients/families and caregivers for continued care after discharge.

The occupational therapist may be involved in consultative services within the organization and in the community.

The occupational therapist demonstrates dedication to professional growth and development and to the continuous improvement of patient care.

Education

• Bachelor's of Science or higher degree from an Accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Licensure

• Licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice occupational therapy in the State of Vermont.
