Occupational Therapist

Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs for patients in accordance with occupational therapy principles and practices. The therapist will collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team and oversee the work of licensed occupational therapy assistants, technicians, and other support staff.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (minimum requirement)
• Experience: No prior experience required
• Licenses/Certifications: Current Texas Occupational Therapy License or eligibility for licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS) – must be completed prior to patient contact, Valid Driver's License (required only if designated as an HMC driver per policy)

Skills & Abilities

• Proficient in computer data entry and documentation
• Knowledge of rehabilitation equipment and therapy tools
• OSHA Category: Category 1 – High Risk
