SportsMed is one of the fastest growing multidisciplinary practices in the Northeast, offering Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, Occupational Hand Therapy, and Acupuncture. We treat a diverse patient population, including sports-related injuries, weekend warriors, post-surgical cases, elderly patients, desk workers, and more.

The Occupational Therapist organizes and conducts occupational therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation, directing patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance. This role focuses on facilitating the learning of skills and functions essential for adaptation and productivity, aiming to diminish or correct pathology.

Responsibilities

• Treat a variety of hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder injuries and post-operative conditions.
• Perform initial evaluations, establish recovery goals, and develop plans of care based on findings.
• Document all evaluations and treatments.
• Educate patients and appropriate parties on evaluations and treatment plans.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, SportsMed providers, and other team members.

Requirements

• Connecticut Occupational Therapy License.
• New graduates and experienced Occupational Therapists are welcome.
• Computer literacy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay

Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 per year, with a signing bonus available.
