Occupational Therapist (OT) Role Overview: The Occupational Therapist provides diagnostic evaluations and develops treatment plans to help patients maximize their functional abilities and independence within the community. Responsibilities include designing and administering therapy programs for various conditions, including neurological and traumatic brain injuries, using therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and equipment. The OT also conducts environmental assessments, fabricates splints and adaptive devices, and trains patients and families in proper techniques for daily activities and self-care. Additionally, they participate in home assessments, support groups, and pre-vocational programs. Qualifications & Skills: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy, current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association, and strong leadership and customer service skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with adaptive tools are required. Preferred experience includes at least one year in the field.
