About the role
The Occupational Therapist at Harmony House will evaluate, plan, organize, and administer occupational therapy services to ensure high-quality care. They will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, adhere to professional standards, and provide training and guidance to therapists.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, and administer occupational therapy services
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and records
- Provide therapeutic procedures and support patient care
- Develop and implement treatment programs
- Administer manual exercises and instruct patients in various activities
- Record treatment, responses, and progress in patient charts
- Instruct patients and families on treatment procedures
- Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices
- Collaborate with physicians and other staff to integrate occupational therapy with overall patient care
Requirements
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- A current, unrestricted license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the assigned state
Qualifications
Experience in a rehabilitation setting is preferred but not required. A strong commitment to patient care and a collaborative team environment is essential.
