Role Overview This position involves evaluating and assessing patients to establish functional goals for restoring abilities, developing and implementing treatment plans, and documenting care. The therapist provides treatment aligned with established goals, reassesses patient progress, and plans for discharge, including patient and family education and community referrals. They may supervise clinical students and support staff, contribute to performance improvement initiatives, and participate in hospital committees. The role requires providing compassionate care and leadership support, fostering a healing environment, and supporting healthcare delivery improvements. Key responsibilities include patient evaluation, care plan development, treatment delivery, documentation, progress reassessment, discharge planning, staff and student development, and quality improvement activities. Qualifications include a graduate of an accredited OT program, basic computer skills, and licensure as an occupational therapist. BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire. Advanced training or certifications are preferred to enhance practice expertise.
