About the role
Pepin Academies are tuition-free public charter schools serving students in grades 3–12 with learning and learning-related disabilities. With campuses across Hillsborough and Pasco County, and over 25 years of operation, Pepin Academies provide a supportive, therapeutic, educational environment designed to meet the unique needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct assessments to identify students’ occupational therapy needs.
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with students’ IEP goals.
Provide direct therapy services focused on fine and gross motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and emotional regulation.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapy strategies into classroom routines.
Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans.
Submit all required documentation for reimbursement of eligible students through the designed school-approved reimbursement platform.
If not currently approved, collaborate with our team to complete the necessary steps to obtain Medicaid provider credentials.

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.
Educate staff and families on strategies to support students’ functional independence.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to school-based therapy services.
Work in coordination with other ESE service providers in planning and developing the exceptional student education program to ensure consistency with the total educational philosophy of Pepin Academies.
Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
A current Florida OT license and NBCOT certification.
Experience working with children and adolescents with learning disabilities preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
The ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs.
