Occupational Therapist

About the role

The successful candidate will provide direct patient care, develop and implement treatment plans, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a variety of settings including schools, clinics, and hospitals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals such as teachers, psychologists, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care.
• Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning to guide treatment planning.
• Document patient progress and communicate with families and referring physicians as needed.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• A current Louisiana Occupational Therapy license.
• Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

• Proficiency in using occupational therapy assessment tools.
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
• Ability to adapt treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Pay

$45,000 - $50,000 annually.

Schedule
