Occupational Therapist
About the role
We are seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our growing team of clinicians. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of care to children with special needs, focusing on compassion, excellence, and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy services to children with developmental disabilities or delays, including fine motor delays, sensory disorders, gross motor delays, speech-language delays, hearing disorders, feeding disorders, developmental delays, cognitive delays, and medical needs.
- Work closely with teachers, teachers' assistants, and other members of the treatment team to ensure each child's needs are met.
- Collaborate with psychologists, nutritionists, and audiologists to offer a comprehensive approach to care.
- Place children in treatment rooms based on their developmental needs and ages.
- Work with families to support the development of their children.
Requirements
- Current Arkansas license as an Occupational Therapist.
- One year of successful experience in a similar position or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills, including a working knowledge of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and internet software.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
Qualifications
- Education/Certification: Current Arkansas license as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience/Knowledge: One year of successful experience in a similar position or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people.
- Ability to work with children between the ages of birth to 6 who are at risk.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills, including a working knowledge of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and internet software.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
