Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities

• Optimize physical abilities and skills of patients by:
  • Assisting in screening protocols
  • Implementing treatment for all assigned patients
  • Delivering treatment to achieve identified objectives according to the established treatment plan
  • Accurately documenting progress toward objectives and communicating patient status and needs to the patient and their family
• Expand and enhance clinical expertise, professional, and management skills through:
  • Interaction with managers and other professional staff
  • Self-study and other continuing education activities
  • Maintaining a valid state license/registration/certification (where appropriate)
• Maintain administration requirements by:
  • Submitting billing, payroll, and expense documentation accurately and timely
  • Assisting in the collection of statistics and updating records
  • Informing appropriate staff and managers of patient progress and facility issues
  • Contributing to facility rehab goals and plans
• Comply with infection control procedures and environmental safety protocols within the facility
• Embrace the team concept and interdisciplinary care

Requirements

• Valid Pennsylvania state license in Occupational Therapy
• Long-term care experience is a plus
