Responsibilities
- Deliver Occupational Therapy services to all Residents and clients under the guidance of the Therapy Lead.
- Provide leadership in all aspects of Occupational Therapy in accordance with the Codes of Practice of the College of Occupational Therapy.
- Ongoing monitoring, support and assessment of residents’ physical and psychological needs.
- Maintain concise records and provide reports as necessary for each resident’s case review.
- Undertake assessments of daily living skills to identify level of functional ability, risks and level of support needed.
- Liaise with appropriate outside organizations for equipment provision, such as wheelchair services, and ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all Occupational Therapy equipment.
- Promote personal and social skills and leisure activities for all residents and liaise with relatives and carers with empathy, providing information, support, and advice as required.
Requirements
We are looking for a qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration. Two years' experience working as an Occupational Therapist is preferred, with previous experience working within a neuro environment being advantageous. Commitment to making a real difference to the lives of our patients, excellent communications skills, a great attitude to teamwork, and a desire to lead on patient care are essential. Flexibility to work shifts is also required.
Qualifications
A degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution, along with HCPC registration, is mandatory.
