Occupational Therapists play a vital role in helping patients regain independence, confidence, and quality of life after illness or injury. Working closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team, you will evaluate needs, develop individualized care plans, and provide hands-on treatment that supports recovery through every stage of healing. Responsibilities

• Evaluate each patient’s functional abilities and needs, then develop individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
• Deliver skilled, evidence-based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life through purposeful, compassionate care.
• Assess functional abilities and define tailored treatment goals.
• Provide direct care through skilled therapy interventions to promote physical independence.
• Monitor recovery progress and update care plans with timely documentation.
• Educate patients and families on safe practices for home and daily life.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and staff for smooth care transitions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an approved program.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience required, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Active state occupational therapy license (e.g., a Florida OT license).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and basic computer proficiency.
