Occupational Therapist

About the role

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient-centered occupational therapy services, focusing on individual conditions and health diagnoses. They develop and implement personalized treatment programs, evaluate patients through various methods, and adjust interventions based on ongoing assessments. The role involves providing direct therapy in diverse settings, planning treatments aligned with patients' physical, emotional, and intellectual needs, and collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including families and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform age-specific assessments from infants to geriatrics, adhering to guidelines and competencies.
• Create and modify individualized treatment plans based on evaluations.
• Use targeted activities to promote health and meet treatment goals.
• Communicate progress and needs clearly to patients, families, and team members.
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately.
• Participate in program development and contribute to departmental growth.
• Engage in continuous professional development and supervise clinical interns.

Qualifications

• Active occupational therapy license in the state of practice.
• Strong communication skills, visual acuity, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Preferred 1–3 years of clinical patient care experience.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-focused care and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
