Occupational Therapist

Job Summary

You will provide essential in-home occupational therapy services under physician's orders. Your role involves evaluating home safety, assessing functional needs, and implementing tailored treatment to promote independence.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate home safety
• Assess functional needs of physically disabled patients
• Develop, plan, and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment procedures
• Demonstrate strong assessment, treatment planning, and implementation skills for in-home care
• Exhibit excellent communication for patient education
• Commit to promoting independence and safety
• Provide occupational therapy assessment, care planning, patient treatment and education according to professional practice guidelines
• Work collaboratively with the team to develop a coordinated care plan
• Ensure all required documentation and billing requirements are met according to local, state, and federal laws
• Be knowledgeable and apply measurable quality metrics associated with your area of practice
• Participate in periodic team meetings to discuss/improve program evaluation/quality measures
• Supervise occupational therapy assistants and techs according to established guidelines
• Stay current with evidenced-based practice guidelines and new research
• Serve as a professional resource to other team members in the field of occupational therapy

Requirements

• Occupational Therapist license in NE
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
