Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' abilities and develop treatment plans to help them improve or maintain their daily living and work skills
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as dressing, grooming, and eating
- Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment, such as wheelchairs, prosthetics, and orthotics
- Develop and implement therapeutic activities to improve patients' physical, mental, and emotional well-being
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
Qualifications
- Master's degree in occupational therapy
- State licensure as an occupational therapist
- Experience working with patients with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing patient needs and treatment plans
Pay
Minimum pay - $50.00. Maximum pay - $60.00
Placement within the wage range for this position is determined by years of experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions.
