About the role

The Occupational Therapist at Athletico plays a crucial role in helping patients improve their ability to perform daily tasks and work environments. They provide care by developing treatment plans, interpreting prescriptions, and establishing functional goals. Additionally, they fabricate custom orthotic devices and communicate with physicians and case managers. The therapist is responsible for monitoring patient progress, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement treatment plans to enhance mobility, manage pain, and restore function.
• Evaluate patients' needs and establish treatment goals.
• Fabricate and train patients on custom orthotic devices.
• Communicate with healthcare providers regarding patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Determine appropriate discharge plans and coordinate follow-up care.
• Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Professional license as an Occupational Therapist.
• Two years of experience in Hand Therapy.
• Current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Able to demonstrate compassion and service-oriented behavior.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring fine hand manipulation and keyboarding.
• Physical stamina to remain seated for extended periods and perform office activities.
