About the role
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist. Assist patients in performing daily activities and exercises to improve their functional independence.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)
- Teach patients exercises to improve strength and coordination
- Document patient progress and report to supervising therapist
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during therapy sessions
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
- Passing score on the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) exam
- Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and principles
Skills
- Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Proficient in using medical terminology and documentation software

Pay
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Variable schedule to accommodate patient needs, typically Monday through Friday, with some weekend availability.
