Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA), Medical Surgical, PRN

About the role

Lifepoint Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at National Park Medical Center. This position offers flexible PRN scheduling, Monday through Friday, 0800-1700.

Responsibilities

• Report patient progress and concerns to supervising therapists
• Collaborate with the care team
• Educate families and nursing staff on supportive follow-through programs
• Tackle the details and assist with scheduling and accurately post patient charges to records
• Document care clearly and compliantly, meeting all regulatory, licensure, payer, and accrediting standards
• Foster a safe, organized, and clean treatment environment for everyone
• Operate with integrity, aligning with our Code of Business Conduct and all applicable policies and laws
• Jump in wherever you're needed to support the team and our patients' success

Qualifications

• Maintain certification from both the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program culminating in an Associate's degree
• Current and valid state OTA license or certificate of practice or equivalent in the states where services are rendered
• CPR certification (when required)
