Role and Responsibilities
- Provides direct rehabilitation care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in a skilled nursing facility.
- Implements and follows individualized treatment plans.
- Documents progress accurately.
- Utilizes therapy software effectively.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to help diverse patients, including those with orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary needs, achieve functional improvements and enhance quality of life.
- Assists in patient care.
- Ensures safety and sanitation standards.
- Participates in community health initiatives.
- Maintains professional relationships while upholding confidentiality and company policies.
- Supports emergency procedures.
- Demonstrates professionalism.
- Engages in ongoing compliance and training requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
- NBCOT certified.
- Hold an active state license.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Prior experience in post-acute care is preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Physical abilities, including lifting and mobility tasks.
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and departmental policies.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Teamwork skills.
