About the Role
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) provides direct occupational therapy care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in a skilled nursing facility setting.
Responsibilities
- Implement and follow individualized treatment plans
- Document patient progress accurately
- Utilize therapy software
- Assist with patient transfers and evacuations
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote patient recovery and well-being
Requirements
- NBCOT certification upon hire
- Valid state licensure
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
- CPR certification (obtained during orientation if not already certified)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and communication skills
- Ability to make independent decisions, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to legal and organizational policies
- Excellent customer service and teamwork skills
- Physical ability to perform job functions, including lifting and mobility tasks
Qualifications
