Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Must be licensed by the Kentucky Board of Licensure and Certification for Occupational Therapy.
• Must be licensed by the National Board of Occupational Therapy.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Must have ability to pass drug and background screening.

Preferred Education / Experience

• Preferred experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full-time position, with some flexibility of daily work schedule.
• This is an hourly 37.5-hour work week.

Essential Functions

• Implements treatment plan of care at the direction of the occupational therapist.
• Maintains and reports status and progress of individuals.
• Trains and monitors physical and sensory support plans.
• Provides client-based individual services to help maintain/improve client well-being.
• Aids in community integration.

Competencies

• Requirements for state licensure (minimum of 12 CEUs per licensure cycle).

Supervisory Responsibility

• Supervises therapy support staff when needed.

Travel

• In this position local travel would be required to provide coverage to multiple New Vista Community Home settings.
• Travel is less than 20% of the expected total job duty.
