Responsibilities
Within scope of practice and under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist, provides prescribed therapeutic services to restore and prevent disability for clients or patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiopulmonary disorders. Performs responsibilities in accordance with departmental and hospital policies, as well as state and federal regulatory requirements: Title 22 Section 70517, 70519.
- Deliver therapeutic services as prescribed.
- Restore and prevent disability for patients with specified disorders.
- Adhere to departmental, hospital, state, and federal policies and regulations.
Requirements
- Associate Degree (COTA) from an accredited program.
- Current state Occupational Therapy certification.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Qualifications
- National Board for Certification Occupational Therapy certification preferred.
- AOTA and OTAC membership preferred.
